Video Logging! (VLOGS)

A vlog is essentially a journalistic video documentation on the web of a person’s life, thoughts, opinions, and interests. They can contain embedded video or a video link with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts. It is also a very popular category on You Tube. The main objective of vlogs is to achieve communication on a personal level with the intended audience.

While some may vlog to share and entertain with an interest or hobby of their own, others may do it to market their own business for profitable reasons. This is because video logging can give you credibility, establish your expertise and can give you celebrity status. It also lets the audience know how you sound and look when you talk; body language is very important and communication is done mostly through this.

I personally prefer humorous or factual vlogs, that are done purely out of hobby or interests. Below are links to two vlogs; one is a tutorial from an independent makeup artist that shows off her talents in makeup online. Another is a boy who puts on a funny voice and pretends to be a character called ‘Fred’ videoing events in this made up character’s ‘life.’

social audio…

There are many ways of creating a social event online. However I think Facebook has pretty much everything covered on what you need to organize a successful event digitally. Here’s what it would look like

This event creation progress on Facebook allows people to title their event, give it a tagline and its location, start and end time. It gives people the option to invite who they like on Facebook and whether or not they want to make the event private. (So that only selected people can view the event) This is how I would promote an event. However I would not include the address and postcode, as there may be others that can view the information even if they are not included on the invite. I would include the contact number so people can contact me for the address or I can contact them telling them if they choose to attend the party and accept the invite.

Digital communication continued

ADSL
(
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line)

This is technology for high speed internet access. ADSL allows more data information to be sent over existing copper telephone lines, used for connecting to the internet. I would use ADSL through my TV broadband, Virgin.

VoIP

(Voice over internet protocol)

This is used for internet telephony, involving the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over internet protocol networks, such as the internet.

I would use VoIP to access Skype to Skype my friend over seas.

MMORPGs

Massively multiplayer online role-playing game.

This allows thousands of gamers to play online at the same time

I would use this by playing Call of duty on line.

An A-Z Digital Communication

(Wireless application protocol)

This is a mobile internet service that was designed to be use on a mobile phone so that web pages on mobile internet are re written in language and modified in size to fit the screen. I would use a WAP by accessing ‘Tubidy,’ a smaller, more basic version of YouTube for mobiles.

3G is the third generation of phone technology.

The 3G internet service provides a fast information transfer rate so internet browsing is quicker and more effective. I would use a 3G by searching something I needed to know quickly on my phone e.g. a restaurant number

(Short messaging service) – Is a way to send a text message between two mobile devices, I would use it to communicate briefly between family and friends.

(Multimedia messaging service) – Similar to the text message, but allows mobile users to attach pictures or videos to the text message. I would use this to send and receive pictures of social events.

GPRS
(general packet radio service)

This networking services supports other data communications such as SMS, MMS and WAP. This GPRS technology is designed for 2.5G mobile phones.

I would use GPRS technology by using the internet browser on my phone to do anything.

milkmadeicecream:

The making of flavor #84, Yellowcake
For our Yellowcake flavor, we basically turned those crazy-good cupcakes into that crazy-good pint. It’s a lemon ice cream base with chunks of Robicelli’s yellowcake cupcakes mixed in. It’s sweet but tart, and refreshing!
